Review Authoring: Modelling

How to include Xtools+ projection tables and charts in the review document and/or presentation

Within the Review authoring workflow, you can include Xtools+ projection tables, charts, and assumptions directly in the document and/or the presentation. Each can be configured individually or updated in bulk, and commentary can be added alongside any projection, chart or comparison chart.

💡 Note: Projections and charts are sourced from Xtools+ modelling scenarios imported into the review.

Navigating to Projections & Charts

  1. Open the relevant Review from your Dashboard or Reviews tabs

  2. Click on the Modelling chevron

  3. Select the Projections, Charts, Compare, Assumptions or Presentation subtab

The Projections tab lists all projection tables generated from your Xtools+ modelling. The Charts tab lists the corresponding visual charts.

Including a projection table individually

Use this method to configure a single projection table and control how it appears in the document/presentation.

  1. Locate the projection table you want to include

  2. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) at the end of the row

  3. Select View Projection

  4. In the projection view, set the period display:

    • Click All Periods to show all projection periods in a single view

    • Click No More to limit to a specific period range

  5. Tick one or more of Review and/or Presentation to include the table in those sections of the output

  6. Click Save

🥇Tip — Landscape for 10-year projections: Including a 10-year projection table will render it in landscape orientation. For projections beyond 10 years, the table will automatically split — for example, a 28-period projection will produce three tables: the first covering years 1–10, the second covering years 11–20, and the third covering the remaining 8 years.

Including a projection chart individually

The process for charts mirrors the process for tables.

  1. Navigate to the Charts tab

  2. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) at the end of the chart row

  3. Select View Chart

  4. Set the period display using All Periods or No More as required

  5. Tick Review and/or Presentation to include the chart in those sections

  6. Click Save

Including projections or charts in bulk

Use bulk selection when you want to include multiple tables or charts in the same document sections at once.

  1. Navigate to the Projections or Charts tab

  2. Tick the checkbox on the left side of each row you want to include

  3. Click Update Section

  4. In the panel that appears, tick Review and/or Presentation

  5. Click Apply

Adding commentary

Commentary fields can be added alongside projection tables, charts and comparison charts in the Review and/or Presentation. Multiple commentary blocks can be added within the same section.

  1. Within the Presentation sub-tab, click on either Review and/or Review Presentation tab

  2. Click Add Commentary

  3. Enter a Name for the commentary block

  4. Enter the commentary content in the text field

  5. Click Save

Reordering projections and charts

The order in which projection tables and charts appear in the Review and Presentation can be adjusted.

  1. In the Review/Review Presentation tab, locate the item you want to reorder

  2. Using the double vertical ellipse, drag and drop to reorder

Grouping projections in the presentation

When multiple projection tables or charts are included in the Presentation, they can be grouped together to appear as a single presentation slide or section rather than as separate items.

  1. Navigate to the Review Presentation sub-sub-tab

  2. Use the Vertical Ellipse “⋮”, to Edit the Group name

  3. OR Click Add Grouping to add another group.

💡Note: Grouping only affects the presentation output. Body and appendix inclusions are not affected by presentation grouping.
