How to navigate a Risk Researcher scenario within Advice Designer

Advice Designer accommodates the import of Risk Researcher scenario research data from any Xplan site.

Once imported, scenario data can be reviewed and included in your plan and merged into your Advice Document and Advice Presentation.

View Risk Researcher Scenario

In the Plan Authoring, once a Risk Researcher scenario has been imported. Any user, regardless of their Xplan licenses, can view the Scenario data.

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "", inline with the scenario you wish to view.

  2. Select View Scenario

💡Note: The Advice Tools (Risk Researcher, WealthSolver & Xtools+), once imported, are purely viewable and cannot be edited in Advice Designer.

View the policy specifics

Within the scenario:

  1. Click on the "+" icon to expand the policy details

View the policy details

Within the scenario:

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "", in line with the policy

  2. Select View Details

  3. The pop-up window will contain the Product Details,

    1. including Details:

    2. Cover:

    3. and Fees:

View Replacement Advice

Within the scenario:

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "", in line with the recommended policy

  2. Select Replacement Advice

  3. The pop-up window will contain the Replacement Advice for the recommended policy

💡Note: Replacement Advice Recommendation is merged in the advice documents and not reflected in the Plan Presentation

View Replacement of Product Research

Within the Research Chevron > Insurance tab:

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "", inline with the scenario.

  2. Select View Replacement

    Depending on the modelling

  3. The pop-up window will contain the Replacement Advice for the proposal, reflecting tabs for the client and/or partner

💡Note: Replacement Advice Research is merged in the advice documents and not reflected in the Plan Presentation

View Like for Like Research

Within the Research Chevron > Insurance tab:

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "", inline with the scenario.

  2. Select View Like for Like

    Depending on the modelling

  3. The pop-up window will contain the Like for Like comparison

💡Note: Like for Like Research is merged in the advice documents and not reflected in the Plan Presentation

View Alternatives

Within the Research Chevron > Insurance tab:

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "", inline with the scenario.

  2. Select View Alternatives

  3. The pop-up window will contain the Alternative comparison for the proposal, reflecting tabs for the client and/or partner

View Reports

Within the Research Chevron > Insurance tab:

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "", inline with the scenario.

  2. Select View Reports

  3. The pop-up window will contain the Reports for each recommended policy

  4. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "" inline with the report you wish to extract.

  5. Click Download

View Needs Analysis

Within the Research Chevron > Insurance tab:

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "", inline with the scenario.

  2. Select View Needs Analysis

  3. The pop-up window will contain the Needs Analysis, reflecting tabs for the client and/or partner

Refresh a Scenario

When data changes occur in a Risk Researcher scenario, within Xplan, that has already been imported into Advice Designer, you can simply refresh the information in Advice Designer to update all research—no need to start over with a new import.

💡Note: To refresh a scenario within Advice Designer, a user will need to have access to Risk Researcher in Xplan.

  1. Click on the vertical ellipse icon "" inline with the scenario you wish to refresh.

  2. Click Refresh Scenario

Import an alternative/addition Rish Researcher Scenario into an existing plan

  1. Within the Plan Authoring, click on the vertical ellipse icon ""

  2. Select to import Insurance Research

  3. Select the Xplan site to import from and click Next

  4. Select the Scenario/s you wish to import and click Import

  5. You will be notified when the scenario has been imported

🥇TIP: Notifications are interactive - clicking on the notification will redirect you to the plan where the scenario has been imported

Remove a Risk Researcher Scenario from the Plan & Presentation

When an imported Risk Researcher scenario is no longer relevant, it can simply be excluded from the advice document and plan presentation.

  1. Within the Research Chevron

  2. Within the Insurance tab

  3. Untick the Include in Plan box in line with the scenario you wish to exclude.
