Review Authoring: Goals

How to add, edit, and manage client goals within the Review Authoring workflow

The Goals sit within the Client/Entity Profile, Plan and Review. It allows you to record each client's financial goals, capture commentary on progress, assign a status, and track completion — all of which feed directly into the Review document output.

Goals can be added for individual clients/entities or recorded as joint goals where the review covers multiple clients (e.g. a couple).

Adding a goal

  1. Click Add Goal in the top-right corner of the Goals section

  2. The Goal Details modal will open

  3. Complete the relevant fields (see field reference below)

  4. Click Create

💡 Note: Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. You must complete Owner, Category, and Priority before saving.

Editing a goal

  1. Locate the goal in the Goals table

  2. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) at the end of the goal row

  3. Select Edit from the dropdown menu

  4. Update the relevant fields in the Goal Details modal

  5. Click Save

Reordering goals

Once more than two goals have been added, the order will be adjustable

  1. Using the double vertical ellipse, drag and drop to reorder

Removing a goal

  1. Locate the goal in the Goals table

  2. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) at the end of the goal row

  3. Select Remove

💡 Note: Removing a goal from a Review plan does not affect goal records held in Xplan. This action only removes the goal from the current Review document.
