Review: Export Content (Xplan)

Send your published Review documents to Xplan as a file note

Overview

Once a Review is published, you can push the advice document and its supporting documents back into Xplan, where they're saved against the client as a file note.

Before you start

  • The Review must be Published. Export Content isn't available while a Review is in Draft. To publish, go to the Presentation step, select Publish, then Confirm.

  • Your Xplan integration must be connected to your workspace. If it isn't, see Setup your Xplan App integration.

⚠️ Note: Publishing finalises and locks the Review for presentation. Make sure your content is complete before you confirm.

🏅Tip: Before exporting, open the Presentation step and check the Attachments tab. The Supporting Documents listed there are what will be sent alongside the advice document. Use Add Attachment if anything is missing.

Export to Xplan

  1. Select Reviews in the top navigation and open a review with a Published status.

  2. Select the vertical ellipsis ⋮ in the top-right corner of the review header.

  3. Select Export Content.

  1. In the App Search step, check the Client field shows the correct client, then under Export to App select your Xplan integration.

  2. Select Next.

💡 Note: Xplan integrations appear under the name your workspace gave them (for example, Finura Xplan), so you may see more than one Xplan option. Choose the one that holds this client's record.

  1. In the Exported Details step, complete the two mandatory fields:

    • Document Types — the Xplan document type the file note will be saved under. This defaults to General; change it to suit your practice's filing conventions.

    • Subject — the subject line of the file note in Xplan. This is pre-filled as Advice Designer content for [Review Name] – [Document Date]. Edit it if you'd like a different description.

  2. Select Export.

Once the documents are stored in Xplan, you'll see a notification under the bell icon (top right), such as "Documents for [Client Name] – [Review Name] were successfully exported to XPLAN."

💡 Note: If your Xplan integration needs reconnecting, select Manage Integration (to the right of Export to App) to check its status in the Integrations window.
