Issue
When you link an existing policy in Select supplier and products, the client's product isn't listed, or a warning says the supplier doesn't have a match.
Why This Happens
Products are linked from the insurance research library. Suppliers are matched automatically, but supplier names in the client's records don't always match the research library. Products are also listed by PDS issue date, so the wrong date shows a different set of products. Very old products, and some cover types, aren't in the research library at all.
How to Fix It
Supplier warning
Select the correct Supplier from the list. The name may differ slightly from the client's records.
Product not listed
Check the PDS issue date matches the client's policy, and try earlier dates if needed.
Under Covers, check the covers selected match the policy. Change them if they don't, then select the product for each cover.
Use Filter Products to search the list.
Product not in the research library
If the product still isn't listed, it can't be linked. You can still:
keep the policy in Current Situation and enter its details manually with Edit
set its status on the Recommendations tab (for example, Hold or Replace).
Without a link, these aren't available for that policy:
the Like for Like comparison
Differences in Benefits in the Replacement Analysis.
Cover these in the advice document instead.
